Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 4 seed, won against Romanian Patricia Maria Tig 6-1, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Tennis in the Land at Cleveland’s iconic Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica in Flats West Bank.
Alexandrova, ranked No 21, will play the winner of the match between American Emma Navarro and Belarusian qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich next.
