Mexican wildcard Victoria Rodriguez moved into the second round of the Tampico Open by defeating Russian lucky loser Alina Zolotareva 6-3, 6-2 at the Centro Libanés Mexicano de Tampico on Monday night.
Victoria Rodriguez will play the winner of the match between top seed Caroline Dolehide and Ashley Lahey next.
