Tampico Open: Kalinskaya beats Madlink to book spot in final

Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 4 seed, advanced to the final of the Tampico Open by winning against American Elizabeth Mandlik 6-2, 6-1 at the Centro Libanés Mexicano de Tampico on Saturday.
Kalinskaya, ranked No 115 in the world, will play the winner of the match between American Emina Bektas, the No 6 seed, and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 5 seed, next.
Ahead of her win today, the Russian defeated American qualifier Jessie Aney (6-1, 6-1), American Varvara Lepchenko (6-1, 6-2) and American Katie Volynets, the No 7 seed (6-3, 6-1).
Mandlik, ranked No 138, won against second seed Peyton Stearns (3-6, 6-1, 6-3), Ann Li (5-7, 6-2, 7-6 (6)) and Mexican wildcard Fernanda Contreras Gomez (W/O) earlier in the week.
