Top seed Kontaveit makes Tallinn final, faces Krejcikova

Top seed Anett Kontaveit moved into the final of the Tallinn Open by winning against compatriot Kaia Kanepi 6-4, 6-4 at the Forus Tennis Centre on Saturday.
Kontaveit, ranked No 4, will play Czech Barbora Krejcikova, the No 7 seed, next.
Only two other female players have reached four or more finals so far this season along with Kontaveit (Hamburg, Doha, St Petersburg and now Tallinn): Iga Swiatek and Ons Jabeur.
Kontaveit beat Chinese Xiyu Wang (3-6, 6-2, 7-5), Czech Tereza Martincova (6-2, 6-1) and Belgian qualifier Ysaline Bonaventure (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Kanepi, ranked No 32, won against Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 5 seed (4-6, 6-4, 6-0), American Ann Li (7-5, 7-5) and Czech wildcard Karolina Muchova (6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (6)).
