Stuttgart Open: Kostyuk saves matchpoints to upset Zheng and reach quarters
The Ukrainian will play No 3 seed Coco Gauff in the next round

Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk edged out China’s Qinwen Zheng, the No 5 seed, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 to reach the last eight of the Stuttgart Open at the Porsche-Arena on Thursday.
Kostyuk, ranked No 27, saved five matchpoints late in the third set to score the win and will face No 3 seed Coco Gauff next.
The 21-year-old Ukrainian edged out German wildcard Laura Siegemund (6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-4) earlier in the week.
In the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament, Zheng, ranked No 7, defeated Romanian Sorana Cirstea (6-2, 6-3).
