Stuttgart Open: Gauff battles into quarter-finals
Coco Gauff edged out Sachia Vickery 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 on Wednesday evening. She’ll face the winner of the match between Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 5 seed, and Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk in the next round

No 3 seed Coco Gauff moved into the last eight of the Stuttgart Open by edging out qualifier Sachia Vickery 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 at the Porsche-Arena on Wednesday evening.
Gauff, ranked No 3, will face the winner of the match between Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 5 seed, and Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk next.
In the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament, Vickery, ranked No 134, won against Belarusian qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich (7-6 (2), 7-5).
