Strasbourg Open: Kanepi beats Wang to reach last 16
The Estonian will face the winner of the match between Romanian Sorana Cirstea, the No 5 seed, and Frenchwoman Clara Burel in the next round
Estonia’s Kaia Kanepi defeated China’s Xinyu Wang 6-3, 6-2 to move into the last 16 of the Strasbourg Open at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg on Sunday.
Kanepi, ranked No 71, will play the winner of the match between Romanian Sorana Cirstea, the No 5 seed, and Frenchwoman Clara Burel next.
