Strasbourg Open: Burel through to quarter-finals

Frenchwoman Clara Burel had the last word on Estonian Kaia Kanepi (7-5, 7-6) to advance to the quarter-finals of the Strasbourg Open on Tuesday.
Burel, ranked No 122, will now face the winner of the match between Australian Kimberly Birrell and American Bernarda Pera, the No 4 seed, next.
The 22-year-old Frenchwoman defeated Romanian Sorana Cirstea, the No 5 seed (7-6 (5), 7-5) in the previous round.
Kanepi, ranked No 76, had previously beaten Chinese Xinyu Wang (6-3, 6-2).
