Burel beats Svitolina to book quarter-final place in Strasbourg
Clara Burel overcame Elina Svitolina in three sets on Wednesday in Strasbourg. Burel awaits either Danielle Collins or Katerina Siniakova in the next round.

Clara Burel beat Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, the No 7 seed, 7-6 (1), 4-6, 6-1 to advance to the last eight of the Strasbourg Open at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg on Wednesday.
Burel, ranked No 43, will face the winner of the match between third-seeded American Danielle Collins and Katerina Siniakova on Thursday.
In the previous round of the Strasbourg tournament, the Frenchwoman beat wildcard Karolina Pliskova (7-5, 0-6, 6-1).
Svitolina, ranked No 17, previously defeated Frenchwoman Diane Parry (6-3, 6-4) in the Strasbourg tournament.
