Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 6 seed, beat Spanish qualifier Cristina Bucsa 6-0, 7-5 to advance to the last 16 of the Strasbourg Open at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg on Monday.
Alexandrova, ranked No 18, will play Pole Magda Linette next.
