Raducanu back in winning ways in Slovenia after Yastremska retirement

Top seed Emma Raducanu moved into the second round of the Slovenia Open when Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska retired at Tennis Arena Portoroz on Monday evening.
Raducanu, now ranked No 83, led 6-2, 5-3 when Yastremska, ranked No 89, pulled out on Monday evening at Tennis Arena Portoroz.
The 19-year-old failed to defend her US Open title, losing in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 to Alize Cornet in the first round.
Raducanu will face the winner of the match between American wildcard Elizabeth Mandlik and German qualifier Anna-Lena Friedsam next.
