Tomljanovic stunned by Bogdan in first round in Slovenia
The Romanian will play qualifier Anastasia Zakharova in the next round
US Open quarter-finalist Ajla Tomljanovic, the No 8 seed, was knocked out in the first round of the Slovenia Open on Tuesday, beaten 7-5, 4-6, 6-1 by Romanian Ana Bogdan on Tuesday.
Bogdan, ranked No 65, will play the winner of the match between Slovenian Tamara Zidansek and Russian qualifier Anastasia Zakharova next.
