Singapore Open: Wang battles back against Teichmann to reach semi-finals
Xinyu Wang edged out Jil Teichmann 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 6-4 on Friday and will play the winner of the match between Colombian Camila Osorio, the No 6 seed, and Belgian Elise Mertens, the second seed, in the next round

Chinese Xinyu Wang, the No 4 seed, advanced to the last four of the Singapore Open by edging out Swiss qualifier Jil Teichmann 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 6-4 at the Kallang Tennis Hub on Friday.
Wang, ranked No 35, will play the winner of the match between Colombian Camila Osorio, the No 6 seed, and Belgian Elise Mertens, the second seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Chinese edged out Canadian Rebecca Marino (6-4, 5-7, 7-5) and won against Australian qualifier Maya Joint (6-4, 6-2).
Teichmann, ranked No 128, beat Harriet Dart (6-3, 6-1) and Australian Olivia Gadecki (6-4, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Singapore Open 2025.
