Wildcard Marina Stakusic beat Rebecca Marino 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 to advance to the second round of the San Luis Potosi Open at the Club Deportivo Potosino on Tuesday.
Stakusic, ranked No 217, will play the winner of the match between American Mccartney Kessler and Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the No 4 seed, next.
