Francesca Jones beat Hungarian Anna Bondar 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 to move into the last eight of the San Luis Potosi Open at the Club Deportivo Potosino.
Jones, ranked No 270, will play Robin Montgomery next.
Ahead of her victory, Francesca Jones won against Ukrainian Yulia Starodubtseva (7-5, 6-4).
Bondar, ranked No 110, edged out German Tatjana Maria, the top seed (0-6, 7-6 (3), 7-5) in the previous round of the San Luis Potosi tournament.
