Italian Martina Trevisan beat Colombian qualifier Camila Osorio 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the second round of the San Diego Open at the Barnes Tennis Centre on Monday evening.
Trevisan, ranked No 31, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the No 7 seed, and American Danielle Collins next.
