San Diego Open: Swiatek reaches quarter-finals defeating Zheng
Iga Swiatek won against Qinwen Zheng 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 on Thursday evening. She’ll face the winner of the match between Canadian Bianca Andreescu and American Coco Gauff, the No 6 seed, in the next round

Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, defeated Chinese lucky loser Qinwen Zheng 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the San Diego Open at the Barnes Tennis Centre on Thursday evening.
Swiatek, ranked No 1, will face the winner of the match between Canadian Bianca Andreescu and American Coco Gauff, the No 6 seed, next.
Zheng, ranked No 28, benefited from the abandonment of Spaniard Garbine Muguruza (5-0) in the previous round.
