San Diego Open: Sabalenka through to quarter-finals
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Sloane Stephens 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 on Friday night

Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the No 3 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the San Diego Open by defeating American wildcard Sloane Stephens 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 at the Barnes Tennis Centre on Friday night.
Sabalenka, ranked No 5, will play Croat qualifier Donna Vekic next.
Stephens, ranked No 52, won against Swiss lucky loser Jil Teichmann (6-1, 7-6 (2)) in the previous round.
