Swiss Simona Waltert won against French wildcard Chloe Paquet 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 to move into the second round of the Rouen Open at Palais des sports de Rouen on Monday evening.
Waltert, ranked No 178, will face Belgian Greet Minnen, the top seed, next.
