Belgian Greet Minnen, the top seed, moved into the second round of the Rouen Open by beating Yuriko Miyazaki 6-4, 6-4 at Palais des sports de Rouen.
Minnen, ranked No 62, will play the winner of the match between Swiss Simona Waltert and French wildcard Chloe Paquet next.
