Rouen Open: Golubic beats Erika Andreeva to lift the trophy
Viktorija Golubic won the title by beating Erika Andreeva in the final in straight sets
Swiss Viktorija Golubic, the No 9 seed, won the Rouen Open title by beating Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva 6-4, 6-1 at Palais des sports de Rouen.
In the previous rounds of the Rouen tournament, Golubic, ranked No 105, defeated French wildcard Elsa Jacquemot (3-6, 6-3, 6-1), French qualifier Tiphanie Lemaitre (6-0, 6-2), French wildcard Fiona Ferro (6-3, 6-2) and Romanian Jaqueline Cristian, the No 7 seed (7-5, 6-4).
Andreeva, ranked No 166, defeated Swiss Jil Teichmann (4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5)), Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin (6-3, 6-1), No 4 seed Jodie Burrage (6-4, 6-2) and Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 5 seed (6-3, 6-1) earlier in the tournament.
