Rouen Open: Golubic books spot in final
The Swiss will play either Maryna Zanevska or Kamilla Rakhimova in the final
Swiss Viktorija Golubic, the No 5 seed, advanced to the final of the Rouen Open by winning against Russian Varvara Gracheva 7-6 (2), 6-3 at Kindarena on Saturday.
Golubic, ranked No 90, will play the winner of the match between Belgian Maryna Zanevska, the No 7 seed, and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova next.
In the previous rounds, the Swiss beat Russian lucky loser Erika Andreeva (7-6 (3), 7-5), French qualifier Jessika Ponchet (7-6 (4), 6-3) and Spaniard Cristina Bucsa (6-2, 6-3).
Gracheva, ranked No 102, won against Hungarian Dalma Galfi, the No 8 seed (6-0, 6-2), German Tamara Korpatsch (7-6 (5), 7-6 (4)) and Croat lucky loser Ana Konjuh (7-5, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
