Rouen Open: Bucsa makes quarter-finals

Spaniard Cristina Bucsa edged out No 9 seed Harriet Dart 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (3) to advance to the quarter-finals of the Rouen Open at Kindarena on Wednesday evening.

Bucsa, ranked No 110, will face the winner of the match between French qualifier Jessika Ponchet and Swiss Viktorija Golubic, the No 5 seed, next.

In the previous round, the Spaniard won against Russian Vitalia Diatchenko (6-4, 6-2). Dart, ranked No 86, beat Ukrainian Daria Snigur (7-5, 6-2) in the first round.
