Riske beats British favourite Dart in Nottingham, reaches last four

American Alison Riske, the No 6 seed, advanced to the last four of the Nottingham Open by winning against Harriet Dart 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Friday.
Riske, ranked No 40, will face the winner of the match between Australian Ajla Tomljanovic, the No 5 seed, and Swiss Viktorija Golubic next.
The American defeated Ukrainian qualifier Daria Snigur (7-5, 6-3) and Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia (6-4, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Dart, ranked No 114, won against Croat Donna Vekic (6-4, 6-3) and edged out Italian Camila Giorgi, the No 3 seed (5-7, 6-4, 7-6 [3]).
