Chinese Xiyu Wang, the No 6 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Rabat Open by beating Italian qualifier Nuria Brancaccio 7-6 (5), 7-5 at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc on Monday.
Wang, ranked No 62, will play American Peyton Stearns next.
