American Peyton Stearns advanced to the last 16 of the Rabat Open by beating Serb qualifier Aleksandra Krunic 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc on Monday afternoon.

Stearns, ranked No 81, will face Chinese Xiyu Wang, the No 6 seed, next.
