Rabat Open: Local wildcard El Aouni falls in opening round

Egyptian Mayar Sherif reached the second round of the Rabat Open by winning against Moroccan wildcard Aya El Aouni 6-2, 6-1 at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc on Tuesday.

Sherif, ranked No 66, will face Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle next.
