Maria Sakkari edges Zheng Qinwen to reach second round at Doha
Maria Sakkari won against Qinwen Zheng 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 on Tuesday evening. She’ll play the winner of the match between Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova and Czech qualifier Karolina Pliskova in the next round

Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 5 seed, won against Chinese Qinwen Zheng 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Qatar Open at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha on Tuesday evening.
Sakkari, ranked No 7, will play the winner of the match between Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova and Czech qualifier Karolina Pliskova next.
