Qatar Open: Rybakina moves into last 16

Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 5 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Qatar Open by winning against American Peyton Stearns 6-2, 6-4 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha on Tuesday afternoon.
Rybakina, ranked No 7, will play the winner of the match between Slovak Rebecca Sramkova and Russian Mirra Andreeva, the No 12 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Qatar tournament, Stearns, ranked No 47, defeated Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska (7-5, 6-3).
