Qatar Open: Pliskova’s winning run continues with comeback win over Noskova

Karolina Pliskova moved into the quarter-finals of the Qatar Open by winning against Linda Noskova 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.
Pliskova has now won seven consecutive matches across two different continents, having taken the title in Romania before flying to Doha and winning her first-round match against Kalinskaya less than 24 hours later.
Pliskova, ranked No 59, will face Japanese Naomi Osaka next.
Ahead of her victory, Karolina Pliskova edged out Russian wildcard Anna Kalinskaya (2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4) and Russian Anastasia Potapova (6-1, 5-7, 6-4).
Noskova, ranked No 28, defeated American qualifier Bernarda Pera (6-3, 7-6 (8)) and edged out Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 7 seed (3-6, 7-6 (2), 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Qatar tournament.
