Qatar Open: Impressive Fernandez upsets Navarro to reach last 16

Canadian Leylah Fernandez won against American Emma Navarro, the No 8 seed, 6-2, 6-2 to reach the last 16 of the Qatar Open at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.

In the previous round of the Qatar tournament, Fernandez, ranked No 27, defeated Belgian qualifier Greet Minnen (6-1, 6-2).
