Qatar Open: Frech takes out Haddad Maia in round one
Magdalena Frech beat Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 on Sunday evening. She’ll play the winner of the match between Russian qualifier Veronika Kudermetova and Pole Magda Linette in the next round
Pole Magdalena Frech advanced to the second round of the Qatar Open by winning against Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 13 seed, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha on Sunday evening.
Frech, ranked No 28, will face the winner of the match between Russian qualifier Veronika Kudermetova and Pole Magda Linette next.
