Russian qualifier Oksana Selekhmeteva won against Liechtensteiner lucky loser Kathinka von Deichmann 6-1, 6-2 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Prague Open at the Sparta Prague Tennis Club on Tuesday.
Selekhmeteva, ranked No 248, will face the winner of the match between wildcard Laura Samson and second seed Katerina Siniakova next.
The 21-year-old Russian defeated wildcard Barbora Palicova (7-5, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Prague tournament, von Deichmann, ranked No 241, won against Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, the No 8 seed (6-4, 6-4).
