Czech wildcard Linda Noskova advanced to the semi-finals of the Prague Open when Japanese lucky loser Nao Hibino retired at TK Sparta Praha on Friday.
Linda Noskova is the second female player born after 2004 to reach a WTA-level semi-final, after Coco Gauff.
Noskova, ranked No 112, led 6-3, 4-2 when Hibino, ranked No 251, pulled out at TK Sparta Praha on Friday.
The 17-year-old Czech will play the winner of the match between Czech Marie Bouzkova, the No 8 seed, and Russian qualifier Oksana Selekhmeteva next.
Linda Noskova benefited from the abandonment of Russian lucky loser Natalia Vikhlyantseva (6-2, 3-1) and edged out Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 5 seed (7-5, 1-6, 7-6 (7)) earlier in the tournament.
