Wildcard Laura Samson moved into the semi-finals of the Prague Open by edging out Russian qualifier Oksana Selekhmeteva 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 at the Sparta Prague Tennis Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Laura Samson will play Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 6 seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, Laura Samson won against Croat qualifier Tara Wurth (6-0, 6-2) and second seed Katerina Siniakova (1-6, 7-5, 6-3).
Selekhmeteva, ranked No 248, beat wildcard Barbora Palicova (7-5, 6-3) and Liechtensteiner lucky loser Kathinka von Deichmann (6-1, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Prague tournament.
