German qualifier Tamara Korpatsch reached the last eight of the Prague Open when Belgian Yanina Wickmayer retired on Thursday at TK Sparta Praha.
Korpatsch, ranked No 99, led 4-0 when Wickmayer, ranked No 93, pulled out at TK Sparta Praha on Thursday.
The German will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 6 seed, and Estonian Kaia Kanepi next.
Tamara Korpatsch beat Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round of the Prague tournament.
In the 32 of the Prague tournament, the 33-year-old Belgian won against Chinese Lin Zhu, the second seed (1-6, 6-4, 6-2).
