Prague Open: Kalinina reaches quarter-finals
Anhelina Kalinina defeated Elsa Jacquemot 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 on Tuesday and will play the winner of the match between Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 6 seed, and Dominika Salkova in the next round
Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the No 3 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Prague Open by defeating Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 at the Sparta Prague Tennis Club.
Kalinina, ranked No 47, will face the winner of the match between Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 6 seed, and Dominika Salkova next.
In the previous round of the Prague tournament, the Ukrainian won against Sara Bejlek (7-5, 6-7 (7), 6-2).
Jacquemot, ranked No 142, beat Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro (6-3, 6-4) during the first round of the Prague tournament.
