Prague Open: No259 Jakupovic books spot in second round after Van Uytvanck’s retirement
Dalila Jakupovic benefited from the abandonment of Alison Van Uytvanck (5-2) on Monday. She’ll face Chinese qualifier Qiang Wang in the next round
Slovenian qualifier Dalila Jakupovic reached the second round of the Prague Open when Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck, the No 6 seed, retired on Monday afternoon at TK Sparta Praha.
Jakupovic, ranked No 259, led 5-2 when Van Uytvanck, ranked No 42, pulled out on Monday at TK Sparta Praha.
The Slovenian will face Chinese qualifier Qiang Wang next.
