Prague Open: Cornet makes quarter-finals, beats Kanepi in three
Alize Cornet edged out Kaia Kanepi 7-6 (1), 5-7, 6-4 on Thursday and will face German qualifier Tamara Korpatsch in the next round
Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 6 seed, edged out Estonian Kaia Kanepi 7-6 (1), 5-7, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the Prague Open at TK Sparta Praha on Thursday.
Cornet, ranked No 65, will face German qualifier Tamara Korpatsch next.
The 33-year-old Frenchwoman won against wildcard Lucie Havlickova (6-2, 4-6, 6-2) in the previous round of the Prague tournament.

In the previous round of the Prague tournament, Kanepi, ranked No 92, defeated Italian Lucrezia Stefanini (6-2, 6-3).
