American qualifier Alycia Parks won against Linda Klimovicova 6-2, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals of the Polish Open on Wednesday.
Parks, ranked No 124, will play Bulgarian Isabella Shinikova next.
The American defeated Pole lucky loser Ania Hertel (6-3, 4-6, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Klimovicova, ranked No 211, won against Russian Valeria Savinykh, the No 8 seed (6-4, 6-3).
