Pole wildcard Maja Chwalinska defeated qualifier Anna Siskova 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 to reach the last 8 of the Polish Open on Wednesday evening.

The 21-year-old Pole won against German Jule Niemeier, the top seed (4-6, 6-2, 6-3) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Siskova, ranked No 328, beat Austrian Sinja Kraus (7-5, 6-1).
