Polish Open: Lys into the quarter-finals
Eva Lys beat Katarina Zavatska 6-3, 6-0 on Wednesday.

German Eva Lys, the No 9 seed, defeated Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska in straight sets (6-3, 6-0) to move into the quarter-finals of the Polish Open on Wednesday.
Lys, ranked No 148, will now face the winner of the match between Belgian Greet Minnen, the No 4 seed, and Swiss Susan Bandecchi next.
The 21-year-old German won against Pole wildcard Weronika Ewald (6-1, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Zavatska, ranked No 195, beat German Mona Barthel (6-2, 7-5).
