Pole Maja Chwalinska reached the last eight of the Polish Open by winning against Kazakh Zarina Diyas 6-4, 6-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
Chwalinska, ranked No 167, will face Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 3 seed, next.
In the previous round, the 22-year-old Pole beat Swiss Celine Naef, the No 7 seed (3-6, 7-5, 6-1).
Zarina Diyas edged out Pole wildcard Martyna Kubka (3-6, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2)) during the 32.
