Poland Open: Wickmayer sets up semi-final against top seed Swiatek

Belgian Yanina Wickmayer reached the semi-finals of the Poland Open by winning against Heather Watson 6-4, 6-3 at the Legia Tennis Centre in Warsaw on Saturday.
Wickmayer, ranked No 109, will play Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the 33-year-old Belgian defeated Japanese Nao Hibino (6-2, 6-4) and Tereza Martincova (6-2, 6-2).
Watson, ranked No 146, won against No 3 seed Katerina Siniakova (7-5, 6-2) and Belarusian qualifier Yuliya Hatouka (6-2, 5-7, 6-1) earlier in the tournament.
