Poland Open: World No 1 Swiatek cruises into last eight
Iga Swiatek beat Claire Liu 6-2, 6-2 on Thursday evening and will play No 8 seed Linda Noskova in the next round
Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed and big favourite for the title, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Poland Open by winning against American Claire Liu 6-2, 6-2 at the Legia Tennis Centre in Warsaw on Thursday evening.
Swiatek, ranked No 1, will play No 8 seed Linda Noskova next as she tries to bounce back from losing in the quarter-finals at Wimbledon.

In the previous round of the Warsaw tournament, the 22-year-old Pole defeated Uzbek Nigina Abduraimova (6-4, 6-3).
Liu, ranked No 78, won against Chinese Yue Yuan (7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-2) during the 32 of the Warsaw tournament.
