Romanian lucky loser Gabriela Lee edged out Cypriot qualifier Raluca Georgiana Serban 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 to reach the second round of the Poland Open at Legia Tenis & Golf in Warsaw on Wednesday afternoon.

Lee, ranked No 146, will face the winner of the match between top seed Iga Swiatek and Magdalena Frech next.
