Garcia will play her second final of the year in Warsaw
Caroline Garcia defeated Jasmine Paolini 6-1, 6-2 on Saturday in Warsaw and will play Romanian Ana Bogdan in the final
Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the No 5 seed, won against Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 10 seed, 6-1, 6-2 to reach the final of the Poland Open at Legia Tenis & Golf in Warsaw on Saturday.
Garcia, ranked No 45, will play Romanian Ana Bogdan next. It’ll be her first WTA final on clay since 2019, the 12th final of her career and the second of the year after Bad Homburg, where she beat Bianca Andreescu to lift the trophy.
Ahead of her victory, the Frenchwoman defeated Japanese Misaki Doi (7-5, 6-4), Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto (6-3, 7-5) and Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed (6-1, 1-6, 6-4).
Paolini, ranked No 58, beat Montenegrin Danka Kovinic (6-1, 6-1), Frenchwoman Clara Burel (6-1, 6-7 (1), 6-0) and Swiss Viktorija Golubic (1-6, 6-2, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
