Romanian Ana Bogdan beat Brazilian lucky loser Laura Pigossi 6-1, 6-1 to move into the last 4 of the Poland Open at Legia Tenis & Golf in Warsaw on Friday.
Bogdan, ranked No 108, will face the winner of the match between Croat Petra Martic, the No 8 seed, and Ukrainian lucky loser Kateryna Baindl next.
Ahead of her victory, the Romanian won against Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 7 seed (6-4, 7-6 (3)) and Czech Katerina Siniakova (6-0, 6-4).
Pigossi, ranked No 113, won against Russian Varvara Gracheva (6-2, 6-4) and edged out Argentinian Nadia Podoroska (3-6, 6-0, 6-4) in the previous rounds.
