Parma Open: Paolini through to quarter-finals

Jasmine Paolini moved into the quarter-finals of the Parma Open by edging out Elisabetta Cocciaretto 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 at Tennis Club Parma on Wednesday evening.
Paolini, ranked No 79, will play Montenegrin Danka Kovinic next.
Jasmine Paolini defeated German qualifier Jule Niemeier (5-7, 6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Parma Ladies Open.
In the previous round of the Parma Ladies Open, Cocciaretto, ranked No 98, won against Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 7 seed (7-5, 6-1).
