Indian Ankita Raina won against Australian Astra Sharma 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 to reach the last 16 of the Parma Ladies Open presented by Iren on Tuesday.
This was raina’s first win at the WTA 125K or above level since August 2023.
Raina, ranked No 269, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the No 6 seed, and German Jule Niemeier next.
